Who We Are
THIRST Youth Ministry at FCBC is for all students grades 7th-12th who desire a deeper relationship with him. Thirst Youth Group aims to come alongside parents in the shepherding, teaching, and discipling of the young lives entrusted to them. They do this by providing a Christ-centered community in which students can develop and grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ and each other, and also find intentional ways to engage with and serve the community around us. The leaders involved in THIRST love the Lord, love the students, and are committed to pointing your kids to the all-satisfying person of Jesus Christ!
What We Do
Our weekly THIRST gatherings for 7th-12th students are on Sunday nights at 6:00 p.m. at the church. We aim to foster a sense of community and an adoration for Christ through worship, preaching, praying, small group time, fellowship, games, outreach and service. We pray that our ministry at THIRST helps to provide the maturity, wisdom and bouyancy that students need in order to navigate the obstacles of everyday life as a teenager. Our leaders strive to point students to God and the Gospel of Jesus Christ in every aspect of life.
How to Get Involved
Please join us on any Sunday night from 6-8pm! We'd love to meet you, get to know you better, and get you plugged in with other students. Click the buttons below to view the Youth Calendar and subscribe to the Youth Newsletter for more information on upcoming events and ways to get involved. We are always looking for more help, whether that be leading a small group or creatively fostering times of fellowship (i.e. setting up fun hangs). If you are an adult interested in serving Youth Ministry, please contact us!
The Team
Our volunteers are both parents of students in the ministry and those who simply have a heart for Youth Ministry. Our goal is to take a “Priesthood of All Believers” mentality
(1 Peter 2), which means that our volunteers are involved at multiple levels of our weekly Youth Ministry efforts, while still holding down full-time jobs or families!
Primarily, our volunteers serve as Small Group Leaders. This is a weekly position of leading, shepherding, and encouraging a smaller group of students that are differentiated in grade-specific categories. It’s a huge task! Reach out to a small group leader with the information below!
