HELPFUL READING & LINKS TO UNDERSTAND TODAY'S ISSUES

The Word of God provides warning that Satan presents himself as an "angel of light" (2 Corinthians 11:14). In other words, Satan can often times disguise himself as something that appears good. The servant leaders want you to be aware of the current winds of doctrine that detract from the glory of God. The men and women behind these doctrines are often times brothers and sisters in Christ, but we believe they are misguided and causing problems in the church. The supremacy of Christ in the flow of theology is of extreme importance and we desire to honor God in our effort to uphold his name in our world. Here are some helpful links to aid in your study.

Emergent Church

REMEMBER: Be Discerning!

Use discernment in everything you encounter, no matter how trustworthy the resource may be. At the same time, be teachable and willing to learn. Discernment doesn't mean discarding something you are reading if it is different than what you previously thought. Discernment is examining the subject in light of Scripture and at the same time, being willing to be corrected if it matches up to the Scriptures. This is a hard skill to learn and apply!
