India Mission Report June 2018

    Dear Friends in Christ,

After a month’s break, we are back again with our monthly Newsletter! Hope and pray that you all are doing well. What a mighty God we have, who has lead us all till this middle month of 2018!

Well, our Bible school is now gearing up for the new academic session. New enrollment and admissions will soon begin by the second week of this month. If Lord willing, by second week of July, classes will start. We prayerfully wait upon the Lord and also upon the recommendation from our old students for the new students. We thank Pastor Randall Cook and the Meridian First Baptist Church, Idaho, for sending us books once again. We also extend our gratitude to Mr. Jonathon Knapstad for taking all the trouble in transporting the precious books. It is such a blessing for the students and the faculty members. The students are making use of the books while writing their assignments and other studies.

The Lord has been faithful in fulfilling one of our mission program, with the support from Pastor Jason Wolin and Faith Community Bible Church, Boise. On 1st & 2nd of June, we went to our mission field and conducted a 2 days “Christian Leadership Training.” Since last two years, with the help of our two local pastors, we have been giving a six months Leadership Training course to 10 church members at a time in our mission field. So, we conducted this seminar to encourage and equip them. The adversary Satan was very active to bring failure. The night before we were to travel to the mission field, my friend bro. Murry was attacked by severe viral fever. Then around 3:00 am on the morning we were to travel, my wife suffered a severe gastritis. It was a huge turbulence. Nevertheless, Peace be Still! God gave us the victory, and we carried on with our mission trip. Unfortunately, bro. Murry could not come along with us. Our journeys were very pleasant with cloudy weather. The next day while we were leaving the mission field, rain started pouring. It was like watering after sowing the seeds!!! Around 35 leaders attended the seminar. The theme was: “Equipping to Equip the Church.” They were very eager to learn. On the last day, they testified that the seminar was educative and a great blessing. Praise to the Lord!

This was our first Seminar to be conducted in the mission field. They also suggested that such seminars should be conducted at least twice a year. We agree with them. There are lot of challenges while witnessing the gospel in this place, where believers are just 0.1%. Pastors alone cannot cover the entire 300 villages. We plan to choose and train a few among the leaders as evangelists, who can help the two pastors. Women believers are more than men, but their zeal to witness the gospel is commendable.

Friends, thank you all for your prayers and support towards our humble ministry. Let us continue to join our hands and endeavor for the Lord’s Kingdom work. Our prayers cease not for you. Love and regards from the family of FIM/ SIFBC&S.

    Yours in His Saving Grace,
    Pastor Tia Alinger, For FIM/SIFBC&S
