River of Life rescue mission
The River of Life Rescue Mission in downtown Boise is BRMMs’ center of services to the homeless men of Boise, as well as the home of the New Life Program for Men in Boise. The building was purchased from the City of Boise in early 2007, and has taken the place of the old Mission building on Front Street in offering shelter, meals, clothing and chapel services. The third floor of the River also is available as transitional housing to men who have completed the New Life Program or the Accountability Program.
Every third Tuesday of the month a team of men from FCBC minister to the homeless by putting on a chapel service which includes singing, Scripture reading, testimonies and preaching. After the chapel service, we try to engage the men in spiritual conversation.
For more information about this ministry and ways to get involved contact the church office ( ).
City Light home for women & children
City Light Home for Women and Children was opened in 2000 to serve the needs of Boise’s most vulnerable homeless. City Light offers free meals and emergency shelter to women and their children, as well as counseling and other assistance as needed. This building also houses the New Life Program for women, the Mission’s twelve to eighteen month discipleship and addiction recovery program.
A group of women from FCBC are involved in helping at a chapel service the fourth Tuesday of each month. There are many ways to serve; sharing the Word, music, fellowship, and prayer.
Contact the church office ( ) if you are interested in serving at a chapel service.
