Such judgment is coming! Still even with all the pain, torment, and discomfort, these people will not give us their demons and idols. They will not give up their murders, sorceries, sexual immorality, and thefts. It demonstrates how strong the flesh is in the human being. Satan has such a strong hold over mankind. Am I holding tightly to any idols of my flesh?
Revelation parallels Amos where God sent all this judgment but still the people did not return to HIm. The message is one of simplicity: "Seek Me and live." "Woe to those who are ease in Zion." I wonder could that apply to America, to us in this time period. Is the church today at ease in Zion? The prophets and the book of Revelation paint a very nasty picture of what the wrath of God and the judgment of God are like. If God detested sin so strongly in that time, doesn't He detest our sins as well? Doesn't He detest my sin as well?
Lord, Make me aware of your wrath and judgment not just your grace. Help me to live in a way that honors You. Am I at ease in Zion? Through Your Son, Amen
