Thank you for participating in the 2017 Advent Devotional. It is rare to come into Christmas feeling properly prepared. But even if we had time, how do we do it? Preparation for Christmas means, as we have learned in 1 Corinthians, laying down power, honor, reputation, vanity, arrogance, individualism beside the manger. We need to become like the child we see there. Whoever looks at the child in the manger and sees the glory of God in his lowliness is the one who is prepared!

We hope these advent devotionals will help you celebrate Christmas correctly!

Use these booklets and audio recordings as you see fit. They are simply a tool to help facilitate discussion. We hope you feel freedom to be flexible and let the conversations focus on things most profitable for your family or group of friends. If you'd like some help getting the conversation going, the following audio introductions can serve to set the tone and start conversations!
